Privacy Policy

CrayonMovie ("we", "us") turns a photo of a child’s drawing into a short animation. CrayonMovie is operated by Belord, LLC. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how long we keep it. Questions or requests: hello@crayonmovie.com.

The short version

• CrayonMovie is for adults. Please upload photos of drawings only, never photos of children or other people. We reject and delete photos that show people.
• We delete uploaded drawings after 7 days and animations after 30 days.
• We don’t sell your data, we don’t post your drawings publicly, and we don’t use them to train AI models.

What we collect

• The photo you upload. We remove all photo metadata (including location) when you upload, and resize the image.
• Your email address, to send you the animation and, at most, a short note about paid options. You can unsubscribe anytime.
• An optional description of the drawing you type in, and your choice of motion.
• Order details if you buy something: what you bought, the amount, and the title/message you ask us to put in a holiday mini-movie. Payments are processed by Creem; we never see your card number.
• Technical and advertising data: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and the ad that brought you here (UTM tags, click IDs such as gclid/fbclid, and Meta’s _fbp/_fbc cookies).

How we use it

• To make the animation: we send the drawing to our AI video provider, together with instructions to keep the drawing’s style.
• A person on our team may look at your upload before it is animated, to make sure it is a drawing and contains no people.
• To email you the result and deliver anything you buy.
• To measure which ads work. We share limited data with advertising platforms (see below). For Meta and Google we send your email address only in hashed (scrambled) form.
• To prevent abuse (for example, limiting free animations per person).

Who processes data for us

• fal.ai runs the AI video models. We ask fal not to store our requests and to delete generated files from its servers within one hour.
• Creem (creem.io) is our merchant of record: it processes payments, sends receipts and handles sales tax.
• Our email provider sends emails.
• Our hosting provider stores the website, drawings and videos for the periods below.
• DataFast provides website analytics and uses a cookie to count visits and actions. DataFast privacy policy.
• Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and Google Ads measure ads through the Meta Pixel, Meta Conversions API and the Google tag. You can limit ad tracking in your browser or in your Meta and Google ad settings.

How long we keep it

• Photos uploaded without finishing the form: 24 hours.
• Uploaded drawings: 7 days.
• Animations: 30 days. Please download anything you want to keep.
• Email address and order records: as long as needed to deliver what you asked for and to keep required financial records. Marketing emails stop as soon as you unsubscribe.

Children’s privacy

CrayonMovie is intended for adults 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A drawing is artwork, not a photo of a child, and we ask you not to include names or other personal details beyond a first name or nickname for a holiday title card. If you believe a child has given us personal information, or that a photo of a child was uploaded, email us and we will delete it promptly.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access or delete your data at any time by replying to any of our emails or writing to hello@crayonmovie.com. We will delete your drawings, animations and email address, except records we must keep by law. Depending on where you live (for example, California or the EU/UK), you may have additional rights; we will honor them on request.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date above. Significant changes will be announced on this page.
